Fire Could Bring Early End to the Season for Tomm Gomm
Milan, NY; July 17, 2018: The Milan Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire at the home of Gomm Brothers Racing at 2:47pm on July 17, 2018. As Captain of the department, Tomm responded from work, and would meet several other volunteer firefighters who recognized the address. The fire was knocked down quickly, limiting the damage to the 32DD. First glances show the fire originated and was contained to the driver’s compartment. The cause was determined to be electrical but nothing further is known at this time. Tomm and the crew will look this week to see if all of the work that was done while diagnosing several motor issues over the past month were affected and whether there is a chance to salvage an already frustrating and disappointing season.
